Akdola Re-invades on September 13th!
Singers, Crooners, Lip-synchers, Divas, Minstrels, and Air Guitarists,The Akdola team that brought you the best karaoke dance party in NYC for the first half of 2007 is back from its summer hiatus on Thursday, September 13th. The new incarnation of the monthly Akdola Karaoke Party now has more songs (in the ballpark of 100,000), more eccentricity (in fashion as well as in behavior), more general havoc wreaking, and A BRAND NEW VENUE!
This time around, we'll be rocking the basement of the inimitable Fontana's, located in the lower Lower East Side, where we'll have our own bar, our own bartender, a killer soundsystem, and a light system to be manned by light girl extraordinaire Micilin O!
If you've Quarantined Your Akdola before, you know it's not your traditional karaoke party: hedonism, licentious dancing, extreme costuming, and enthusiastic performances overrule vocal talent.
Mark your calendar and plan your outfit. (Check out www.myspace.com/akdola for sartorial inspiration or just to get psyched.)
As always, it's FREE to enter, sing, dance, flirt, and make a fool of yourself. Beer specials until 10:00 and crazy prizes ALL NIGHT LONG.
Cost: FREE!
Date: Thursday, September 13th. 8:00 p.m. til late
Location: Fontana's (105 Eldridge St. between Broome and Grand)
