Bears? Bulls? No – it’s a Boar Market at Akdola Santaoke. What?!

It’s time for Santaoke – the annual Akdola holiday karaoke party where you get to dress up like Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer, and other holiday-themed creatures – and this year we’re invading Wall Street (who says Wall Street’s dead?). Join us at the China Chalet (think Old New York, kitsch, and the entire place all to ourselves…) for the best damn holiday party you’ll attend all year.

And, as an added bonus, we will be debuting the new Akdola mascot (see photo). Yes, it’s a stuffed boar. He will be following in the well-hoofed footsteps of his predecessor, Deer Prudence. And he needs a name, so send us your suggestions! Special Mystery Prize for the person whose name we choose.

We’ll be at Santacon this Saturday doing some recruiting and pre-santaoke partying, so join us.

August Akdola Takes Corio By Storm

Last week, Akdola made its long-awaited comeback at its fabulous new venue, Corio.

The Hosts, "Ak" and "Dola," warmed up the crowd

KJ Skittles made its debut, with glowing reviews

Our bartender showed his Akdola pride, with beer sponsor Peak Organic in the spotlight.

Special guest Georgio the Human Carpet took his post on the floor

And the ladies walked all over him...

Love and war was in the air amongst the couples

With a dash of some good old fashioned girl lovin'

And some fox-y affection

But the main event was on stage: Anya performed a hoola striptease - much to Richard's delight

Ellen mourned Prudence, but quickly moved on to the new taxidermy in town

And the show-stopping, hand-clapping, chest-beating Peak Performances raged on

And, as per the norm, an intoxicated frenzy swept up the party.

Sarah impersonated the Biclops

The hosts and KJs joined forces and let loose

While the crowd grinded the night away with a Shoop -

Until they collapsed in ectasy

And proclaimed VICTORY!

Summer’s nearly gone…but Akdola’s BACK!

Where can you choose from 100,000 karaoke songs, wrap yourself in boas, and slide off stage with your air guitar? Only at Akdola. On Wednesday, Aug. 20^th, NYC’s most bedazzled karaoke party is making its long anticipated return. Crazy costumes and free beer are still on the menu, but the venue has changed. Join the fun at Corio on the 20^th and croon your way into summer superstardom.
